Filmland Spirits Moonlight Mayhem Extended Cut Cask Strength Bourbon Whiskey
Filmland Spirits Moonlight Mayhem Extended Cut Cask Strength Bourbon Whiskey is a 115-proof (57.5% ABV), 750mL cask strength straight bourbon — the uncut director's cut of Filmland's Moonlight Mayhem, from a 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley mash aged 4+ years in American white oak. It took Gold at the 2022 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. It is available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor, San Diego, CA.
Moonlight Mayhem is Filmland's star-crossed-lovers-on-the-run B-movie, and the Extended Cut is that same bourbon with the volume left in: same 75/21/4 mash and 4+ years of oak as the Double Gold-winning 94-proof original, bottled at full cask strength instead of proofed down. Nothing added, nothing softened.
Tasting profile: the Moonlight Mayhem core — caramel, vanilla and rye spice — at full cask-strength intensity, with a long, warming oak finish. Browse the Filmland Spirits brand collection, more bourbon whiskey, and the full whiskey collection at Del Mesa Liquor.
Serving note: neat with a splash of water to open it up — at 115 proof, a few drops go a long way.
