Dingle Original Irish Gin is an 85-proof (42.5% ABV), 700mL London Dry gin from Dingle Distillery on Ireland's wild Atlantic coast — native Kerry botanicals over a juniper-led core, distilled in the copper pot still "Oisín" in small 500-litre batches. It is available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor, San Diego, CA.

Dingle was founded by the Porterhouse Brewing Company on the Dingle Peninsula, drawing its water from a well 240 feet below the distillery. The Original Gin — the distillery's launch product — macerates its botanicals for 24 hours before vapour distillation through a flavour basket, is collected at 70% ABV, chill filtered, and cut to 42.5%. The botanical bill reaches into the Kerry landscape itself: rowan berry, fuchsia, bog myrtle, hawthorn, and heather layered over juniper, coriander, angelica, and chervil. Retailers widely cite it as World's Best Gin and World's Best London Dry Gin at the 2019 World Gin Awards.

Tasting profile: fresh and floral — juniper, coriander, and lime on the nose with wild herbs and bright citrus; a soft, exuberant palate of juniper, wild berries, mint, and warming spice; a clean, dry finish with lavender, cinnamon, and lasting pepper. Browse the Dingle brand collection, more gin, and the full spirits collection.

Serving note: a gin & tonic with a wedge of orange, or neat over ice to taste the Kerry botanicals undiluted.
