Named for 1757, Distilled in 2010

The "1757" is the year Loudoun County, Virginia was founded — a century and a half before the distillery that honors it. Catoctin Creek opened in Purcellville in 2009 as the county's first legal distillery since Prohibition, and in its very first year of operation it distilled this brandy in 100-gallon batches from Seyval Blanc and Chambourcin grown minutes away at Tarara Vineyards. Nine years later it emerged from Bordeaux cask as the distillery's oldest release to date — and its first Bottled-in-Bond brandy, released February 16, 2019 for the 10th anniversary. Bottled-in-bond means single distiller, one distillation season, at least four years in the cask, and exactly 100 proof. Explore the brandy shelf or everything from Catoctin Creek.

Tasting Notes

Warm vanilla moving into bread pudding, currants, raisins, rich chocolate, cherries and heady allspice; rich hints of grape, raisin, date, fig and stone fruit; long, rich finish.

How to Enjoy

Neat at room temperature to meet the full 100-proof, eight-year depth; a splash of water opens the fruit. A connoisseur's brandy, not a mixing one.
