19 Crimes Martha's Chard 2020 is a California chardonnay made in partnership with Martha Stewart — 100% chardonnay at 13.8% ABV in a 750mL bottle, the first chardonnay in Treasury Wine Estates' 19 Crimes portfolio. Martha Does Chardonnay

19 Crimes built its name on Australian reds with augmented-reality convict labels; Martha's Chard broke the mold as the brand's first chardonnay — and its first wine made from California fruit. Launched in January 2022, the 2020 vintage carries Martha Stewart's personal imprint: her mug shot on the cork and a QR code linking to her "Work hard. Play hard. Drink Martha's chard." video. It is unabashedly a crowd-pleaser — crisp, fruit-forward, and off-dry.

Tasting Notes

Official product copy: "crisp California Chardonnay white wine with stone fruit notes. The toasty sur-lies character is married with creamy, caramel oak that emerges mid-palate, and a firm, acidic core keeps the savory notes from dominating the fruit, ordering up a crisp, refreshing finish." Named reviewer Gus Clemens found green apple, pear, white peach, pineapple, citrus, caramel, and butter over sweet oak.

How to Enjoy

Chill well and serve with roast chicken, creamy pastas, or soft cheeses. The off-dry sweetness and firm acidity make it flexible at the table — it handles spicy dishes better than a bone-dry chardonnay would.
