Metaxa Grande Fine
Metaxa Grande Fine is a tribute to Greece’s artistry and heritage, crafted by the House of Metaxa since 1888. This expression combines aged wine distillates (up to 15 years old) with the highest percentage of Muscat wines from Samos, enriched by Mediterranean herbs and botanicals. The result is a spirit that is neither cognac nor brandy, but a unique amber spirit with a velvety, complex character.
- Appearance: Dark amber, luminous and rich.
- Nose: Aromas of dried plum, white raisins, gentle oak, and licorice.
- Palate: Full-bodied with layers of dry fruit, nutmeg, oak, honey, and subtle spice.
- Finish: Mellow, sustained, with honeyed fruit and a touch of spice.
- ABV: 40% (80 proof).
Presentation
One of the most striking features of Metaxa Grande Fine is its porcelain decanter, designed by Greek street artist Cacao Rocks. Inspired by Cycladic island mythology and architecture, the bottle itself is a collectible piece of art, making this release as visually impactful as it is flavorful.
