The Pink Ace, Built on Old-Vine Red Wine

Most prestige houses make rosé as an afterthought; the Cattier family builds this one deliberately, holding back still Pinot Noir from old Montagne de Reims vines and blending a full 18% of it into the final assemblage for colour, texture and red-fruit intensity that maceration alone rarely reaches. The Cattiers have grown vines in the Montagne for more than 250 years and produce the whole Armand de Brignac range — launched in 2006, now a partnership between Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter and Moët Hennessy — with only the first portion of the press and a dosage wine aged a year in French oak. Find it alongside the rest of the range in our champagne, rosé wine and wine collections, or on the Armand de Brignac vendor page.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Wild strawberry, raspberry and blackcurrant with delicate florals and a whisper of spice (current official notes). Palate: Red berries, blood orange and ripe cherry, silky in texture. Finish: Long and refined.

How to Enjoy

Well chilled as an aperitif, or at the table with tuna crudo, pan-seared duck breast or prosciutto with melon — the house's own pairings lean into its red-fruit weight.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is Armand de Brignac Rosé made pink? By blending still red Pinot Noir wine — 18% of the final assemblage, from old vines in the Montagne de Reims — into the white base wines before bottling, the classic Champagne assemblage method.

What grapes are in the Brut Rosé? Per the current official specification: 55% Pinot Noir, 25% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Meunier, plus the still red Pinot Noir wine within the blend.

Is Armand de Brignac Brut Rosé sweet? No — at 8.5 g/L dosage it is a dry brut rosé; the fruit intensity comes from the red-wine addition, not sugar.
