Trinidad and Tobago is known as the Land of the Hummingbird — the bird appears on the country's coat of arms, currency and passport — and Zaya's bottle carries a gold hummingbird medallion with the national flower, the chaconia, on its neck band. Per the importer's current published notes: a deep bronzed amber rum with pear, baked apple and spiced vanilla on the nose; a smooth palate of caramel, vanilla, toasted oak and baking spices; a profound finish with a hint of smoke.
