The Red-Label Classic of Reims

Piper-Heidsieck's signature cuvee is deliberately Pinot Noir-structured and crus-diverse — over a hundred villages feed the blend, with at least a quarter held back as reserve wine to keep the style consistent year to year. The house lists among its distinctions a Mundus Vini Best Non-Vintage Brut award (2020), Wine Spectator 92 points and Top 100 (2019), and Golds at CSWWC 2020, Mundus Vini 2022, the Drinks Business Champagne Masters 2020 and Mondial de Bruxelles 2019. Tasting Notes

From the producer: pear, white peach, citrus and orange blossom on the nose, with toasted bread and fresh almond on the palate and a hint of mint — crisp yet creamy, structured by the Pinot Noir.

How to Enjoy

Serve at 8–10°C, per the house, which suggests tuna or salmon sushi and maki, or tagliatelle with king prawns in a Champagne white-butter sauce. The house gives its cellaring potential as five years and beyond.
