A Harbour Town in a Glass

Hugh and John Stevenson founded Oban in 1794, before there was much of a town to speak of — Oban the place grew up around Oban the distillery, which still sits in the centre, steps from the harbour. It is one of Scotland's smallest and most characterful malt distilleries, and its spirit has always carried the sea with it. Little Bay takes that spirit into smaller casks, where the wood works faster and closer: sherry-cask ends bring dried fruit, re-charred bourbon wood brings spice and chocolate depth.
