The First B Corp Tequila

Mijenta — co-founded by former Bacardi CEO Mike Dolan and sustainability lead Elise Som, and launched in the US in September 2020 — was built to prove a tequila could be both serious and sustainable: in August 2022 its producer became the first tequila producer certified as a B Corp, with carbon-neutral products and packaging that runs from agave-waste labels to recycled-paper boxes. In the glass it is a winemaker's blanco: Romero, a trained sommelier, treats highlands agave like fruit to be expressed, not masked. Find it with our blanco tequilas, or see the range on the Mijenta vendor page.

Tasting Notes

Color: Bright and transparent. Nose: Intense cooked agave with vanilla and caramel from the slow cooking, plus floral, fruity cantaloupe and peach. Palate: Powerful body — cooked agave, vanilla, fresh fruit and a thread of cinnamon spice.

How to Enjoy

Sip it neat to taste the highlands agave unfiltered and unmasked, or build a Margarita where the tequila is unmistakably the point.
