Meiomi Pinot Noir is a 13.7% ABV California Pinot Noir in a 750mL bottle — a tri-county coastal blend from Monterey, Sonoma, and Santa Barbara counties, aged six months in French oak. Founded by Joe Wagner of the Caymus family in 2006 — "Meiomi" is the Wappo word for "coast" — it is a rich, full-bodied Pinot built for lovers of bold reds: juicy strawberry and dark cherry over toasted mocha and light oak. It is in stock and available to order online now at Del Mesa Liquor.

  • Alcohol: 13.7% ABV
  • Size: 750mL
  • Blend: ~97% Pinot Noir (trace Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Chardonnay, Grenache)
  • Origin: California — Monterey, Sonoma, and Santa Barbara counties; 6 months in French oak
  • Profile: rich, full-bodied style; 92 points, The Tasting Panel

The Coast in Three Counties

Joe Wagner built Meiomi on a simple idea: blend the best of California's coast. Monterey County brings concentrated cool-climate fruit, Sonoma adds structure, and Santa Barbara contributes aromatics — about 97% Pinot Noir with trace white varieties for lift, finished with six months in French oak. The result is famously not a polite Burgundian Pinot: it is juicy, dark, and plush, with strawberry and black cherry over toasted mocha. The brand moved from Constellation Brands to The Wine Group in 2025, but the style has not wavered. Browse more California red wines or explore Pinot Noir at Del Mesa Liquor.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Juicy strawberry, dark berries, and toasted mocha.

Palate: Rich and full — dark cherry, berry compote, and light oak over a plush frame.

Finish: Smooth and lingering, mocha and fruit.

How to Enjoy

Serve at 60–65°F; a 30-minute decant opens the aromatics. Pair with roast chicken, cedar-plank salmon, mushroom risotto, or a charcuterie board — the richness handles bolder dishes than most Pinots.
