Meiomi Chardonnay applies Meiomi's tri-appellation coastal blending philosophy to white wine: 100% Chardonnay from Sonoma County (structure), Monterey County (bright acidity), and Santa Barbara County (tropical richness). Bottled at approximately 13.5% ABV (verify vintage label), 750mL — available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor, San Diego, CA.

Like the rest of the Meiomi line, the fruit comes from the cool marine-influenced vineyards of three coastal California counties — the brand founded in 2006 by Joseph Wagner ("coast" in the Wappo and Yuki languages, now owned by Constellation Brands). The Chardonnay is fermented in stainless steel, then built into the signature rich, creamy style through 100% malolactic fermentation, French-oak aging, and lees stirring for a velvety mouthfeel.

Tasting notes (per the brand infosheet): smooth, opulent layers of pineapple and lemon peel heightened by sweet smells of honey, almonds, baking spices, and subtle custard notes; succulent acidity and a clean, mineral-driven finish. Retailer consensus: ripe pear, fresh peach, bright citrus zest up front, creamy-waxy texture through the middle, plush and custardy with lingering baking spice.

Why buy this wine? Because it is the archetype of the rich California Chardonnay style — buttery and opulent, yet balanced by real coastal acidity — at a price that makes it a weeknight staple. Browse the Meiomi brand collection, more white wines, and other fine wines.

Serving note: serve slightly chilled at 50–54°F in a white-wine glass. Pairs with seared scallops, roasted chicken, lemon-herb pasta, grilled shrimp, creamy pasta, fresh crab, and roasted white fish.

Is Meiomi Chardonnay oaky? Yes — full malolactic fermentation, French-oak aging, and lees stirring give the creamy, custardy, buttery profile — balanced by bright coastal acidity.

Where does the Chardonnay come from? Three California coastal counties: Sonoma (structure), Monterey (acidity), Santa Barbara (tropical richness).

What does it taste like? Smooth and opulent: pineapple, lemon peel, pear, and peach up front; honey, almond, baking spice, and custard underneath; a rich but clean, mineral-driven finish.
