JCB Caviar Infused Vodka
JCB Caviar Infused Vodka is a 40% ABV (80 proof), 750mL vodka from JCB Spirits by Jean-Charles Boisset in Burgundy, France, distilled from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes and infused with sturgeon caviar from Southwest France — presented by JCB as the first caviar-infused vodka. It is available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor, San Diego, CA.
The base spirit is made the JCB way: Burgundy grapes fermented into wine, aged in barrel for 6 months, then distilled seven times and filtered four times before a proprietary caviar infusion developed over more than a decade of research. The aim is texture as much as flavour — an ethereal caviar influence and an opulent, decadent mouthfeel rather than a fishy note. The American Distilling Institute's 2026 competition lists JCB Caviar Vodka with Silver Medals for Flavored Vodka and for Excellence in Packaging.
Tasting profile (The Somm Journal): anise and cocoa with a sea breeze on the nose; creamy liquorice, dark chocolate and a hint of saltiness; a tobacco-leaf finish — a savoury, luxurious spirit built for sipping. Serving note: serve chilled and neat to let the caviar texture show, or as the base of a sophisticated, savoury cocktail.
