The 2025 Edition is drawn from hand-selected casks distilled in 1978, 1983 and 1984, and presented in a dark-stained rosewood case with brass handles. Forty years of sherry oak produce a whisky of exceptional depth: distillery-quoted notes open with black cherry, stewed plum, blackberry and sherry-soaked chocolate gateau on the nose, with a café-dark palate of blackcurrant and bramble compote, prune-and-raisin wine and cinnamon-laced chocolate espresso — the intense black-ochre colour tells the cask story at a glance. Like all GlenDronach, it is bottled without chill filtration and with no artificial colour. For collectors of Scotch and sherry-matured top-shelf whisky, this is the distillery's statement bottle ahead of its 200th anniversary.
