FEW's American Whiskey started as an accident the distillery refused to waste: a cherrywood-smoked single malt that was delicious on its own but defied the category rules, until founder and master distiller Paul Hletko's team married it into their bourbon and rye and found the three whiskeys lifted each other. It is a very Evanston story — FEW makes whiskey grain-to-glass in a town that was a headquarters of the temperance movement and stayed dry for decades, a few miles north of Chicago.
