Buchanan's Green Seal Scotch Whisky
Buchanan's Green Seal Scotch Whisky is the newest permanent member of the Buchanan's family: a no-age-statement blended Scotch unveiled September 17, 2025, rolling out nationally from October 2025, built around a never-before-released Glen Elgin single malt made with experimental wine yeast — and it is available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor, San Diego, CA.
Created by Master Blender Craig Wallace and imported by Diageo, Green Seal celebrates Latin luxury with a tropical-leaning profile: the experimental Glen Elgin malt (wine yeast) brings vibrant tropical fruit, matured in American oak bourbon casks alongside experimental stocks, with a more subdued peat character than other Buchanan's luxury variants. Bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof) in this 750mL bottle. SRP $99.99.
Official tasting notes: vibrant tropical fruit, zesty citrus, creamy vanilla, toffee, and apricot jam on the nose; zesty citrus, creamy milk chocolate, luscious vanilla, warm wood spices, and dried fruit on the palate; a smooth, gently sweet finish with lingering toffee, apricot, and soft oak spice.

Serving note: neat or over one large cube — the tropical fruit opens beautifully with a few minutes of air.
