Speyside's Traditional, Lightly Smoked Malt
Benromach is Speyside's smallest distillery, run by a tiny team in Forres under Gordon & MacPhail's ownership, and it deliberately makes whisky the old way: barley with a whisper of peat smoke, long fermentation, and a decade resting in first-fill wood. The 10 Year Old is the house signature — the malt that defines what Benromach means by a traditional Speyside dram. Tasting Notes
Per the distillery: sweet green apple and pear with creamy dark honey, soft vanilla and gentle smoke on the aroma; malted cereal and stewed fruit with warm toffee and a hint of black cherry on the palate; a full-bodied finish of malted cereal and soft smoke.
How to Enjoy
Neat, with a splash of water to lift the sherry-cask fruit; the gentle smoke also stands up in a Rob Roy. More single malts are in our spirits collection.
