The palate is full-bodied, viscous and powerfully robust: dark caramel, roasted pecans and intense cinnamon baking spice balanced by an earthy oak structure. The finish is exceptionally long and warm, with sweet vanilla bean, dried fruit and a lingering spicy Kentucky hug.

How to Enjoy

Neat, in a Glencairn, given time. At 120 proof and 16 years old, this is a contemplative pour for experienced bourbon drinkers; a few drops of water open the dark fruit and tobacco without surrendering the weight.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the significance of the Gold Foil edition?
It pays homage to the legendary vintage Wild Turkey releases of the Austin Nichols era, prized by collectors for their quality and distinctive gold foil neck wraps.

Is this bourbon chill-filtered?
No. It is intentionally bottled non-chill filtered at 120 proof so the natural oils, texture and flavor from 16 years in the barrel remain intact.

Who signed this release?
The Archives edition bears the signature of Bruce Russell, honoring the Russell family legacy at Wild Turkey.

A centerpiece for a serious collection: Wild Turkey Austin Nichols 16 Year Old Gold Foil Edition is available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1277/3667/files/wild-turkey-austin-nichols-16-year-old-gold-foil-edition-600x800.jpg?v=1792389042
https://www.delmesaliquor.com/products/wild-turkey-austin-nichols-16-year-old-bourbon-whiskey-gold-foil-edition
